Position Summary:
The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for setting up patient appointments, managing the provider's schedule, and informing participants of rescheduled or canceled visits in a timely manner.
Scheduling Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and updating Wound Ally with the highest level of accuracy to ensure patients are appropriately scheduled.
- Maintaining and updating schedules, calendars, and agendas.
- Verifying the availability of patients and providers.
- Confirming appointments and obtaining patient's consents.
- Sending out reminders of scheduled appointments.
- Rescheduling of cancelled appointments in a timely manner.
- Answering scheduling queries via email and phone.
- Performing other administrative tasks when required.
- Daily updates to the provider censuses
- Ensuring coverage maps are updated appropriately.
- Communicate with providers and staff either via chats, phone or email.
- Assisting office staff with trouble shooting , and other platforms on their computer.
- Review assigned provider notes for accuracy.
- Provide shadowing dates, coverage map for new providers joining the practice.
Patient Care Coordinator & Scheduler Requirements:
- A minimum of one year experience in a similar role.
- Advanced knowledge of confirming and rescheduling appointments, as well as recordkeeping practices.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to solve scheduling challenges considering stringent deadlines.
- Extensive experience with office software, including MS Word, Excel, and Dropbox would be an asset.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
