Job Description
We are looking for a Full Time Receptionist and or Medical Assistant who possesses a warm, positive, and outgoing attitude along with the ability to multitask and work as an integral part of our small close-knit healthcare team. The Receptionist/MA will be required to work on M/T/W/Th and Friday from 8.45 AM to 5.15 PM in the office with a potential for growth. Medical office experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, check-in patients, obtain necessary patient information to file and update patient records, enter the information in the patient medical record and ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients
- Check-out patients, assist with referral processing, and arrange radiology and laboratory services referral
- Prepare patients for examination, take vitals, and record patients' health history
- Prepare examination rooms
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times
- Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
- General knowledge of patient care and examination procedures
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
