```Job Summary:```
We are seeking a highly organized and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, managing phone calls, scheduling appointments, and performing various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a Medical Office setting and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Campbell Health Solutions serves Flossmoor, Tinley Park, and Munster, IN. Employee will be assigned a main location, however may be required to travel between our other locations.
```Responsibilities:```
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary documentation
- Maintain patient records and update information in the electronic medical record system (EMR)
- Assist with medical billing and coding tasks as needed
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers or specialists
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure smooth operations of the front desk area
```Requirements:```
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role preferred
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems (EMR) such as Epic or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Familiarity with medical scheduling systems and phone systems
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance
