Summary: Friendly, Outgoing, Smiling, Engaging Front Desk Receptionist with a pleasant personality and warm and inviting demeanor needed to provide support with the daily activities of the medical office including but not limited to telephone coverage, appointment scheduling, patient registration, answering questions or routing questions to the appropriate individual by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Answers telephone and either responds to inquiryordirects caller to appropriate personnel.
- Schedules appointments and enters appointment date and time into scheduling softwareaccording to established scheduling rules and guidelines.
- Makes daily confirmation calls to scheduled patients.
- Greets and directs patients, salespeople, vendors and other visitorsfollowing established protocol.
- Registers patients by accurately entering updated demographic information, verifying patient insurance eligibility, verifying patientphoto identification matches, scanning documents during the check in and check out process.
- Makes appropriate updates in the Practice Management System and EHR.
- Post payments to patient’s accounts during the check in and check out process.
- Coordinates referrals for patients received from insurance companies and other physician offices.
- Collects co-payments, patient balances and other paymentsfrom patients during the check in and check out process and reconciles daily cash reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Office Manager, Front Desk Coordinator or Administrator in a willing and congenial manner.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
