Our team in Industrial Group Christiansburg Team is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer, to join them. You will have primary responsibility for the site quality functions and projects. This includes support of site quality and lean improvements, ISO 9001 compliance, and reporting quality performance to site leadership. You will report to the Quality Assurance Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Christiansburg, Virginia.
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will:
Contribute to our success by engaging with our suppliers and company partners to prevent and correct quality issues.
Support supplier selection and performance monitoring.
Facilitate Supplier Corrective and Preventative Action related to material quality issues.
Evaluate production processes for compliance with quality requirements.
Help develop audit plans, audit schedules.
Participate in quality audits.
Identify processes, situations., where organization is meeting requirements, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Assist audit team in developing audit reports; present audit reports to top management.
Help with follow-up audits.
Help create new processes to improve Quality Management System.
To be considered for a Quality Assurance Engineer, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field or a bachelor's degree with relative work experience to a Quality role. An Associate's degree with a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
Experience in an engineering position within a manufacturing production environment.
Demonstrated performance in quality compliance about contract, industry, and other regulatory flow downs.
Proficiency in document control on contract, industry, and other regulatory flow downs.
Experience using analytical tools such as SPC, Gage R&R, 5 Why or Fault Trees.
Ability to access to US export-controlled information.
5-10% travel, both domestic and international, may be required to suppliers and customers.
