POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible for all aspects of the Information Technology (IT) Department, which includes IT Help Desk, System Administration, Telecommunications, Networking, and Infrastructure.
The Director of IT ensures Department provides timely, efficient, and professional support to other Casino Departments with regards to identifying, implementing, and supporting Casino technologies, infrastructure, training, and telecommunications while providing executive level project planning and execution.
S/he is responsible for preparing and ensuring adherence to the department’s budget, including the calculation of costs and estimated completion dates for current and future projects. This position classification develops and implements processes and procedures that comply with Tribal, State and Federal laws, rules and regulations and safeguard end-user confidential information.
This position classification mentors department team members and prepares a succession plan that focuses primarily on Chehalis Tribal Members.
This position ensures the confidentiality, security and accuracy of guest’s and team member’s records, and promotes positive guest and team member relations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required and outstanding guest service to fellow team members, guests, vendors, etc. is expected. Regular attendance is required, and later hours or weekend time may be required with project deadlines. A neat well-groomed professional appearance is essential at all times.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position directly supervises; either directly or indirectly supervises all department team members.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The essential functions of the Director of Information Technology include but not limited to:
· Provides executive level planning, budget management and team leadership.
· Works with executive team to prioritize IT projects and support.
· Develop IT departmental policies and procedures to meet operational objectives.
· Assigns, coaches, and monitors IT managers.
· Assists IT managers as needed or requested.
· Strives to exceed guests’ expectations through quality customer service.
· Is helpful and friendly with team members and guests.
· Ensures team members and IT activities comply with Minimum Internal Controls Standards.
· Identify and address data and system driven labor efficiencies.
· Is current on the facility disaster plan and acts accordingly.
· Works safely and efficiently with equipment, techniques, and products.
· Performs other duties as directed by the Chief Financial Officer.
· On-call availability conversant with a 24/7 hospitality and gaming type environment.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Management or related field required, a master’s degree preferred, and/or a combination of equivalent
education and experience will be considered. A minimum of 12 years industry-related experience is necessary to supplement for a lack of education level.
SKILL, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of twelve (12) years of director level IT experience, ten (10) years of experience in the hospitality industry preferred. MCSE, ITDM, ITIL experience is a plus Extensive strategic, infrastructure planning experience required. Extensive project management experience, Six Sigma certification preferred. Administrative operations, back-of-house, and in-house engineering experience required, and five (5) years of supervisory experience, plus interdepartmental collaborative efforts and facilitate technical support. A strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, required. Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Must maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image to the public. A high level of discretion required to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy. Work requires continual attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
Must be a minimum of 21 years old and can obtain and retain a Washington State Class III Gaming License; successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen; and have and maintain a driving record that at least meets the minimum requirements established by Lucky Eagle Casino & Hotel vehicle insurance provider.

ENVIRONMENT:
The environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member may encounter while performing the essential functions of the position.
Primarily indoors and may be exposed to heavy smoke and fluctuations in temperature while in and around the Casino and/or Hotel. May also, from time-to-time be exposed to noise from slot machines, customers, music and public announcement system, as is common in a Casino and/or Hotel environment. Lucky Eagle Casino & Hotel operates in a 24/7 environment.
Position, in support of LEC&H’s Pride in Property values, assists with the daily cleaning of public and team member spaces, ensuring they are properly cleaning (to property standards) and sanitized; examples of daily cleaning protocols include but are not limited to the cleaning of work areas, machines, equipment, using cleaning and sanitizing agents and report of any and all cleanliness issues.
