Job Description
Purpose of Position:
Responsible for ordering and supervising delivery of contracted and non-contracted packaging and ingredients for the processing facilities. Assure that industry food safety standards are followed at all times and all audits are completed and approved in conjunction with Quality Assurance.
Accountabilities:
- Create purchase orders and set up delivery schedules for multiple packaging supplies on a daily basis.
- Evaluate quality and conditions upon arrival to determine that specifications are being met.
- Forecast supply shortages and quality by week and month.
- Implement processes with suppliers to improve on time delivery and Purchase Price Variance
- Keep senior management informed of present/future trends in availability and cost of materials and components.
- Ensure all orders are being monitored and follow up on for accurate deliveries.
- Process all invoices on Esker.
Required:
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
- Experience in agriculture a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft excel and basic computer skills a requirement
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience with SAP a plus
- 3-5 years experience in procurement, sales or field operations
