PrideStaff Carlsbad is seeking an experienced Purchasing Assistant in Carlsbad, CA
About Role
Our Client is a rapidly growing locally founded Company. This role is focused on working under our Purchasing Director to assist with all aspects of our product procurement chain from France, Asia, and the US.
The ideal candidate MUST be extremely well organized, possess analytical skills, and be highly proficient in Excel. Ability to communicate in Spanish and French would be preferred.
Responsibilities
• Working with the purchasing manager to run the purchasing department
• Maintaining cordial working relationships with vendors and supervising vendor activities
• Using quarterly and annual data to determine purchasing needs and performing inventory management
• Managing purchase orders, overseeing shipping schedules and maintaining purchase records
• Working with warehouse staff to compare deliveries with purchase orders to identify discrepancies.
• Working with the warehouse staff to prepare outgoing orders correctly and route them to appropriate transit carrier.
• Working with the warehouse staff to cycle count and maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Conducting ongoing market research to identify new vendors and suppliers
About You
- Analytical, organized, detail oriented, persistent.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Team player, can-do attitude, no task too small - assists and supports colleagues as needed.
Requirements
- 1 years of experience in data analysis or purchasing preferred. Experience in the personal care sector would be helpful.
Details
- Temporary role with possible for permanent hire if trial period goes well.
- Part time to start so the supervisor, will have time to train him/her and then also keep up with him/her own workload.
