Purchasing Assistant

Can Lines Engineering (CLE) is a worldwide supplier of products and services for a variety of industries including Food & Beverage, Warehousing, Pharmaceutical and Consumer Products. Some of our offering includes conveyor, material handling, packaging equipment, engineering, custom fabrication and installation. One component of this is the controls architecture to operate the equipment and to integrate any or all the following: conveyance, depalletizers, fillers, packers, palletizers, and much more. We provide a wide range of services that include complete documentation for control system design, control hardware specification, schematics, PLC / HMI software and on-site commissioning and training.

We are looking to fill the position of Purchasing Assistant.

DUTIES

Order Confirmations

• Matching Purchase Orders with vendor’s Order Confirmations.
• Verify that all information matches.
• Email vendor to revise order confirmation when a discrepancy is found, or if order confirmation is missing.

Follow Ups

• Follow up on all open orders, including ship date, tracking number or status.

Certificate of Insurance

• Upload and update our system when Certificates of insurance are received.

Uploading Tracking Information

• Upload tracking information onto Smartsheet.

Packing Slips

• Review packing slips and update database.

Stock Requisitions

• Price materials.

Placing Orders

• Submitting orders to vendors.
• Revise orders.

REQUIREMENTS

Education – High School Diploma

Attention to detail when verifying information.

1+ years of experience in Customer Service

2+ years of experience working in MS-Excel (and other MS-Office apps)

Some experience with SL Dynamic, Meridian and Smartsheet is preferred, but not required.
