Computer Systems Analyst Ii

Geodesicx, Inc. is in search of a Computer Systems Analyst II to join our team in the Charleston, SC area.

The Computer System Analyst II is responsible for providing technical expertise in test and evaluation, network protocols, LAN administration fundamentals, and UNIX and Windows-based operating systems. This role supports various Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) and Command and Control (C2) systems across multiple platforms supporting Department of Defense end users.

Specific Duties:

• Participate in the test and evaluation of software and hardware systems to ensure compliance with established specifications and standards.
• Assist in the analysis and troubleshooting of network protocols and communication issues within the C4ISR and C2 systems.
• Provide support for LAN administration fundamentals, including network configuration, security, and performance optimization.
• Work with UNIX and Windows-based operating systems to manage system configurations, perform system updates, and ensure system security.
• Collaborate with other technical teams to identify and resolve system issues and improve overall system performance.
• Assist in the development of technical documentation and standard operating procedures for system administration and maintenance.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other technical staff as needed.

Experience Requirements:

• Three (3) years of Computerized System experience to include: Test and Evaluation, Network Protocols, LAN administration fundamentals, and UNIX and Windows-based operating system.
• Experience with relevant certifications within one and a half years after assuming duties:
  • Professional Software Engineering Master (PSEM)/Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) OR with COR approval complete a vendor/platform-specific certification: Microsoft role-based certifications, Microsoft Certified Applicable Developer (MCAD), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), VMWare Certified Professional (VCP).

Educational Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED. Individual shall be working towards the relevant certifications within one and a half years after assuming duties.
