Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the company has a reliable supply of goods and services, while minimizing costs and risks.
2. Manage the entire procurement process, from identifying potential suppliers to negotiating contracts, placing orders, and managing deliveries.
3. Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed and foster strong relationships with key suppliers.
4. Forecast upcoming demand for goods and services, taking into account factors like seasonal demand and potential disruptions.
5. Work closely with other departments, such as production and finance, to ensure procurement activities align with overall company strategy.
6. Maintain a deep understanding of the global market for the goods and services the company purchases, and use this knowledge to make informed buying decisions.
7. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to procurement and contracts.
8. Manage and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a procurement role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Professional certification such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) is preferred.
4. Proven experience in managing international procurement activities.
5. Strong negotiation skills and a keen eye for detail.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other procurement software.
7. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
8. Ability to make strategic decisions under pressure, and a strong problem-solving ability.
9. Demonstrated financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and cost analysis.
10. Knowledge of procurement laws and regulations.
