Job Summary:

As a Senior Procurement Manager, you will be pivotal in managing our procurement operations, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of inventory and supplies. Your expertise in inventory management, vendor negotiation, and cross-departmental collaboration will support our manufacturing processes and contribute to our overall success. This is not a desk job! Administrative tasks will be 25% of your day and 75% of your day will include physical activities.

Key Responsibilities:

· Regularly analyze on-hand inventory, making strategic purchasing decisions based on inventory levels, budget considerations, and vendor lead times.

· Negotiate optimal pricing with vendors.

· Establish a primary and secondary source for all raw materials with approval from engineering.

· Efficiently submit and track purchase orders, ensuring vendor acknowledgment within 24 hours.

· Oversee the tracking and timely delivery of all inbound raw materials.

· Conduct audits of packing slips, process purchases, and review vendor invoices for accuracy and timely payment.

· Facilitate material movement into storage locations.

· Facilitate picking of materials for builds on production schedule.

· Conduct biannual cycle counts for inventory accuracy.

· Maintain a minimum of 20 days of inventory on hand with a maximum of 90 days of inventory on hand.

· Prepare and deliver report on status of inventory at weekly meeting.

· Utilize and update inventory records in ERP, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

· Collaborate with managers to coordinate warehouse activities, including inventory rotation and discrepancy resolution.

· Generate and share report daily on status of raw material inventory on hand.

· Facilitate the rotation of inventories within the warehouse.

· Collaborate with leadership to implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide recommendations for process improvement.

· Complete project tasks and assignments within set timelines, adhering to standardized procedures and suggesting process improvements.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

· Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

· Strong Proficiency in ERP or WMS systems, Apple Mac products and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-departmental collaboration.

· Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

· Current Forklift Certification or ability to obtain certification.
