In this role as designer, you are responsible for planning, designing, and implementing various elements such as plants, hard scapes, and lighting to enhance the overall aesthetic of a property.
As the Landscape Designer, you will meet with clients to understand their needs and preferences, conducting site analysis to assess the existing conditions, and developing design concepts that align with the client’s vision.
In addition to the creative aspect of the job, you also need to consider practical factors such as drainage, irrigation, and sustainability. The right candidate must have a good understanding of plant species, soil types, and local climate conditions to ensure the long-term success of the landscape design.

General Duties
- Prepares preliminary design, working drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. Provide unique, high quality designs that meet or exceed client’s needs.
- Communicate the design and installation processes to clients to help ensure realistic expectations, help them make better decisions and to recognize the importance the design expertise
- Communicate design intent to project manager before beginning projects, explaining special details or nuances of the installation to maximize crew’s productivity.
- Revise plans and estimates according to project changes and communicate alterations to clients, crews and subcontractors.
- Inspect projects as they progress to determine regulation and specification compliance, and make recommendations to existing specifications and plans.
- Collaborate with contractors, construction supervisors and related disciplines to oversee work assignments and coordinate work.
- Convey special requirements to operations staff to schedule crews effectively and efficiently and ensure client satisfaction and/or adherence to contracts.
- Produce estimates via Aspire and oversee adherence to budgets to bring jobs in at desired profit rates.
- Follow up with clients to complete or negotiate punch lists to bolster collection timing.
- Prospect and develop business from networking and referrals from current clients.
Requirements
- Strong computer and CAD skills - Dynascapes preferred (will train)
- Aspire Software is a great asset although not needed and will train.
- Exceptional organization skills and flawless follow through.
- Ability to juggle tasks and manage workflow and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of proper set up and installation practices
- Knowledge in techniques for measuring, calculating material i.e. soils, stone.
- Great communication and listening skills.

- Optional requirements: Bilingual, MCLP or CLP Licenses

Pay: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
