CATEGORY MANAGER
Reporting to Procurement Manager
Direct Reports None
Key Stakeholders: Operations, Finance, Project Management, Estimation
JOB PURPOSE
Achieve agreed business targets for the assigned category(ies)
Develop and manage a competitive national supplier base
Secure sufficient supplier capacity to support operational demand at all locations
Ensure compliance with all Lindsay Precast's policies and safety standards
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead all procurement activities within the category(ies)
Drive the development and implementation of category strategies to reach/exceed targets
Plan and lead negotiations with key suppliers
Monitor relevant supply markets and trends
Collaborate with key stakeholders
Develop and manage a portfolio of projects aimed at exceeding set business targets
Lead the selection process for key suppliers in the category(ies)
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of three years in a strategic sourcing related role in a multi-site manufacturing company
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a technical field
OTHER INFORMATION
Willing and able to travel.
