Payroll Specialist

PSEA - a labor organization representing 178,000 members who work in school settings - is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Payroll Specialist in our downtown Harrisburg office.

This position is responsible for the preparation and distribution of the bi-weekly payroll; performance of all processes and procedures associated with payroll data, calculation and input, tax reporting, file management, records retention; record keeping and payment of employee benefits. This position will also include legal records tracking compliance.

A minimum of an Associate’s degree in accounting or a related field. Minimum of 3 years payroll experience is required. Previous experience maintaining information in an HRIS/Payroll system is required. Excellent quantitative and oral/written communication skills are required. Excellent time management and organizational skills are required.
