This position is hybrid, requiring being at the King of Prussia, PA HQs once a week.
Position Summary
Responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll while also supporting various daily/operational/administrative functions of HR, including administration, onboarding, offboarding, data integrity/reporting, interpreting company policies and practices, and benefits/leave administration support.
Responsibilities
1. Payroll Processing
- Responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, and end-to-end processing of semi-monthly payroll via UKG, which includes finalizing timekeeping data and time off requests, new garnishments, reconciliation of payroll registers
- Process payroll adjustments, bonuses, commissions, and other special payments
- Ensure accurate payroll taxation setup in UKG to support our hybrid remote work arrangements
- Remediate issues related to payroll and timekeeping, as needed
- Ensure the company payroll policies are in accordance with government regulations (Federal, State and Local levels)
- Interface with UKG as needed for payroll-related activities and tax requirements
2. HR Administration
- Oversee and administer onboarding activities for new hires, including the pre-employment background investigation, collection of required personal data, completion of Form I-9, internal stakeholder notifications and company orientation
- Respond to employment-related inquiries from employees, people leaders and external agencies, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to other HR subject matter experts
- Perform operational tasks required to administer and execute HR policies, programs, and services including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave management, recognition, and occupational health and safety
- Ensure timely data maintenance and data integrity in UKG
- Develop and deliver HR/Payroll-related reports as required
- Maintain HR functional documentation and employee files, (electronic and/or physical) and partner with Legal to ensure record retention compliance
3. Continuous Improvement
- Support business continuity by documenting and maintaining HR/Payroll process flows
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions to streamline payroll and HR processes
- Actively participate in system upgrades and enhancements to improve payroll and HR software functionality
Experience and Competencies
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of Payroll experience, leveraging a HR/Payroll technology platform
- Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills and a comprehensive understanding of payroll procedures and regulations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.) and comfortable with learning new technologies
- Strong customer service orientation
- Excellent time management skills to deliver results
- Ability to work autonomously and exercise good judgement
- Commitment to continuous learning and process improvement
Highly Desired
- Experience processing payroll in UKG
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related business field
- Excellent interpersonal, consultative, and conflict resolution skills
- Strong process orientation
- Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
