Colonial Security Services is currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Payroll Assistant.
Job Description:
The Payroll Assistant will be responsible for supporting the payroll department in accurately processing payroll for our employees. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review and process payroll for employees in adherence to established schedules
- Verify time and attendance records to ensure to ensure accuracy
- Maintain organized an up-to-date payroll record for all security personnel
- Respond to security personnel inquiries regarding payroll matters promptly and professionally
- Ability to learn payroll and billing processes quickly for efficient HR support
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records and documentation
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
- Help organize and conduct new employees orientations and facilitate the onboarding process
- Maintain and update HR databases, spreadsheets, and reports with precision
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field (HR certification may be considered)
- Will also consider students in their junior or senior year of college working towards a related degree
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in using MS Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Prior office experience is strongly preferred
Salary: $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20-30 hours per week
Schedule:
- 4-5 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
