Accounting Assistant - Hourly Payroll & Production Reporting

Job Summary:

Daily reconciliation of payroll and Production Reporting along with other management reporting functions.

Essential Job Functions:

• Daily Reconciliation of the hours reported in our access system against what is entered in the employees’ diaries.
• Daily reconciliation of the production reported by the plant with the payroll and shipping records.
• Upload and input payroll information into the Paycom website on a weekly basis. Reconcile any differences and submit payroll.
• Administer the hourly employee data within the Paycom website as needed.
• Prepare weekly overtime report for management.
• Work closely with HR on YCC benefits and employee elections.

 Other Functions:

• Cross train on other accounting positions and assist with covering these duties when others in the accounting dept. are out.

• High School Diploma/GED;
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in payroll processing, preferably within ADP or a similar payroll module.
• Strong computer skills, including using Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality
• Possess basic math skills

Machines/Tools/Equipment:

Computer, Copiers, printers, fax machine, etc.

Safety: 

Employees are expected to follow all facility safety guidelines that include adhering to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Food Safety as outlined during their training.

Working Conditions:

Primarily a controlled office environment. May require small amounts of time in the manufacturing area which can be loud where hearing protections is required.
