Job Summary:
Team Clean is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Assistant who is familiar with ADP (Automatic Data Processing) to assist in processing employee payroll accurately and efficiently. The Payroll Assistant will work closely with the HR and Finance teams to ensure that all employees are paid correctly and on time, while adhering to all relevant employment laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the HR department to collect and verify employee timecards and attendance records.
- Process payroll for all employees accurately, including wage garnishments, benefits, and taxes.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries, bonuses, and deductions.
- Maintain and update employee records in the ADP system.
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Prepare and distribute paychecks, direct deposits, and pay stubs.
- Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
- Assist in preparing payroll reports for management and accounting purposes.
- Assist in the year-end payroll processes, including W-2 and 1099 form preparation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting, finance, or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Assistant or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with ADP payroll software is a must.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, taxation, and compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
