POSITION SUMMARY
The Payroll Administrator/HR Assistant will oversee all aspects of the bi-weekly payroll process and will maintain payroll data integrity for the organization. The Payroll Administrator will ensure payroll is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. Additionally, this position will assist with various responsibilities in Human Resources and requires someone who is bilingual (English/Spanish) with an acute attention to detail.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employee’s hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holiday, deductions and withholding, expense reimbursements, address changes and other information.
- Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll transactions.
- Experience with processing 401K payments, compliance reporting and testing.
- Experience with workers compensation a plus.
- HR Administrator experience with certification(s) or equivalent experience.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Provides clerical support to the HR Department.
- Assists with planning of special events such as benefits enrollment, holiday parties, etc.
- Assists with other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 plus years of comprehensive experience in payroll processing; ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly the use of Excel and Word to handle the administrative and reporting needs of the department.
- Highly analytical mind with strong data management and technical skills with the ability to successfully deal with financial and numerical data.
- Solutions-oriented mindset and ability to work well under stressful, high-pressure situations.
- Outstanding work habits and professional ethics to meet payroll deadlines and handle payroll and human resources information with discretion.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must be customer service oriented with the ability to interface with all levels of employees.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Associates degree or equivalent experience is required.
- Certification in HR (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) or equivalent experience preferred.
