Summary: Duties for this position include all functions related to ACH processing and support for any complications or inquiries related to these activities.
Responsibilities
- Follow established policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure tasks are completed in compliance with Bank and Regulatory requirements
- Maintain complete confidentiality of all customer information
- Maintain broad knowledge of all systems associated with ACH processing functions
- Accurate, compliant and timely processing of ACH Sending and/or Receiving functions and all related duties
- Analyze processed data in an effort to detect and assess unusual and/or suspicious activity
- Research both internal and external requests regarding ACH processing and transactions
- Assist with the monitoring and reporting of ACH Returns
- Assist with payment dispute related tasks
- Assist in gathering ACH data for all audit investigations, risk assessments, and any other applicable risk and compliance inquiry
- Assist in projects to improve daily functions, including creating improved workflows, process improvements, and system testing
- Maintain working knowledge of payments rules, industry topics and related processes
- Cross train and serve as a back-up in other areas of the department as required
- Continuous successful completion of internal and/or external training programs, as well as annual training requirements
- Understand this role as defined by the three lines of defense to maintain a compliance culture that includes risk management processes.

- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years banking experience preferred
- Previous ACH processing experience preferred
- Hold or be willing to obtain relevant industry certifications: APRP, AAP, CERP, etc.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal guidance, and meet established deadlines
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks and priorities accurately and efficiently, with focus on details
- Good analytical and organizational skills
- Proficient verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Flexibility to learn and grow as new systems and processes emerge
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly email and spreadsheets software
