Job Title: Lead Cashier
Reports To: Retail Management
Status: Non-Exempt
Department: Retail
Summary:
Assists the store manager in the efficient operation of a retail store.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Smile and greet all customers as they enter the location.
Assist with store manager with planning for best possible merchandising system, including displays and store promotions.
Present friendly, cooperative attitude to general public at all times.
Lead and encourage store work force; when directed, assist with staff training; assign specific duties in absence of manager.
Help load and unload store merchandise as needed.
Must have own transportation to be able to make bank deposits in timely manner.
Sort donations according to company guidelines
Assist keeping store stock available.
Assist in store security.
Notify Store Manager of low and overstocked items.
Call Store Manager for all voids and customer returns.
Perform necessary janitorial work.
Adhere to all Goodwill policies, procedures and regulations.
Provide excellent customer service to both external and internal customers.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
Prefer previous cashiering experience.

Frequent lifting and carrying awkward materials up to 40 lbs.
Constant standing up to eight hours a day.
