Job description

Maximus is seeking a highly motivated Program Analyst with a specialization in Process Engineering and Improvement. to join our team in Arlington, VA.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing program processes to drive efficiency and enhance overall performance. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, gathering and analyzing data, and implementing process improvement strategies.

Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

• Conduct thorough analysis of current program processes, identify risks, issues, and solutions to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather input and feedback on existing processes.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including workflow diagrams and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure document review and approval occur in a timely manner as dictated by program management.
• Use data-driven insights to recommend and implement process enhancements.
• Monitor and measure the impact of process improvements on efficiency and productivity.
• Provide regular reports and updates to management on process improvement initiatives.
• Act as a liaison between different departments to ensure effective communication and alignment on process changes.
• Assist management with the development of performance metrics.
• Gather and analyze information to develop regular program status reports.
• Provide planning support for programs including scheduling, budgeting, and performance monitoring.
• Stay up to date with DoD best practices and emerging trends in Process Engineering and Improvement.

Required Skills:

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Program/Project Management, Information Systems, Business Management, or another related field
• Project Management Certification (i.e., CAPM, PMP, CSPM)
• 5+ years proven experience in Process Engineering and Improvement, ideally within DoD.
• 5+ years in performing process and requirements analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Power BI, etc.).
• Proficiency in process mapping and analysis tools/software.

Desired Skills:

• Process Improvement Certification (i.e., CPDE, CBAP, Six Sigma)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
