Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team. As an Office Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. This is a dynamic role that requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Duties:
- Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, taking customer orders.
- Assist with data entry and maintaining electronic and physical files
- Assist with proofreading documents for accuracy and completeness
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages
- Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as needed
- Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks software
-Arrange and manage freight orders
-Possible travel for sales shows and expo's
-Operate label printer for private label orders
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient typing skills with a high level of accuracy
- Experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting software is preferred
- Excellent calendar management skills to efficiently schedule appointments and meetings
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data entry and document preparation
- Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills when interacting with clients, vendors, and staff members
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Previous experience in an administrative or Office Assistant role is preferred
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- No nights
- No weekends
