- Schedule and assemble background materials for the Workforce Development Board, Consortium Board, and their committees; book the meeting venues and ensure that proper equipment and amenities are available for a successful meeting; ensure proper notice of meetings to comply with Open Meetings Act
- Schedule other meetings and events as requested, including staff meetings, workgroups and meetings with partners, contractors and the community
- Provide administrative support to the Executive Office, including the Executive Director and Deputy Director
- Take accurate minutes of meetings and maintain the official records of all assigned meetings
- Responsible for maintenance of facility, liability and vehicle insurance
- Manages the appropriate filing of all leases
- Responsible for official record retention and destruction
- Serve as the agency’s Equal Opportunity Officer and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Effective administration and promotion of MWSE’s EO program;
- Serve as the MWSE’s liaison to the TIA, the U.S. Department of Labor’s (USDOL’s) Civil Rights Center, and other federal/state civil rights agencies;
- Implement MWSE’s EO management plan for the its workforce and contractor network;
- Develop and publish MWSE’s procedures for processing discrimination complaints
- Review internal and contractor network-wide EO policies and procedures to ensure they are non-discriminatory;
- Review, investigate and monitor the EO activities and written policies of administrative offices, Service Centers, service providers and contractor agencies to assure compliance with required systems and ensure all policies and practices are nondiscriminatory;
- Analyze EO statistical data to determine whether differences based on demographic factors have practical or statistical significance; and
- Provide training and compliance assistance to MWSE’s staff and contractor staff to ensure that all staff are aware of and can carry out MWSE’s EO policies and procedures.
- Implement, in accordance with the state’s uniform discrimination complaint procedures, MWSE’s discrimination complaint processing and alternative dispute resolution procedures. This duty includes not only the responsibility for investigating discrimination complaints filed with MWSE, but the obligation to assist, where required, with the review and resolution of any complaints that allege discrimination and/or other EO violations within MWSE’s service jurisdiction, that may be investigated by federal/state civil rights enforcement agencies.
- Ensure nondiscrimination and equality of opportunity for persons with disabilities in accordance with Section 504.
- Coordinate all EO complaints across the service centers in conjunction with contractor designated EO liaisons.

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, management, human services or related field. Equivalent related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Three years of administrative experience, preferably in workforce development services or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications and knowledge of or willing to learn other applications and databases
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations with respect to employment and training programs preferred
- Administrative experience in operation of state and/or federal programs preferred
- Experience working with boards, councils, committees, and other public decision making bodies
- Experience working with private-sector, community, public and non-profit organizations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and highly professional demeanor
- Ability to multi-task and coordinate across multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with working in a dynamic, complex environment impacted by shifting priorities and deadlines, and constant system change
