Network Administrator
Position Description:
KBR is seeking a full-time Network Administrator, responsible for developing, planning, analyzing, testing, troubleshooting, and evaluating both current and emerging network requirements for the Army's Joint Training Program - Air and Missile Defense (JTP-AMD) Simulation Center. The JTP-AMD SIM Center is a government facility located on Fort Bliss, Texas, with networking requirements that extend to multiple theaters and other government facilities/locations within the US. The ideal candidate for this position performs tasks necessary to support the integration of network systems, perform system maintenance, install software, and perform configuration management to ensure data networks are secure, functional, and without interruption. Duties and responsibilities include the ability to identify network issues, perform troubleshooting measures, develop courses of action, and implement network solutions. In addition, must be able to implement protective measures and assist in the testing and configuration requirements as a member of our internal and external cybersecurity and information assurance teams.

Required Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have a US SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE or higher.
- Must have at least three (3) years of experience in network administration that includes the ability to operate, configure, and maintain network operations and security.
- Some experience with Air and Missile Defense Systems.
- Ability to operate, maintain, configure, and remediate network systems that include intrusion detection system (IDS), firewalls, hubs, switches, routers, and encryption devices.
- Experience working with cybersecurity teams in the protection of information systems.
- Document and reference network support activities and system configuration changes.
- Ability to integrate and install new hardware systems, software, and applications as needed.
- Ability to Install or repair copper and/or fiber optic cables.
- Perform research and provide recommendations for new technologies and upgrades to keep pace with current technological developments.
- Ability to move, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 50lbs.
- Ability to travel out of local area 10% of calendar year if needed.
- Must have a CompTIA Security+ certification (required).
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering
- Certifications: CCNA, CEH, CASP+, Network+, Linux+, A+
- Risk Management Framework (RMF), eMASS, ISSO
- Military Experience: 140A/E, 255N, 25B/U/D/N
- Five (5) or more years' experience in Air and Missile Defense
