Job Summary
The Client Payroll Administrator is responsible for owning, updating, and coordinating all the payroll administrative duties for the assigned client base. This position provides a positive and high-quality service to all associates and clients and requires thorough understanding of Time and Payroll practices, processes, and applicable taxation laws, along with HCM understanding and how it integrates with real-life scenarios. They will act as the primary Payroll Administrator and provide a variety of customer support services to the assigned client base. Client Support services include but are not limited to, responds to questions/issues initiated by clients via e-mail, phone, fax, etc., resolves client issues/problems, client and associate training, and installation of systems. Responds to questions and/or provides information upon request from the client base and processes transactions, generate reports, etc., as appropriate.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Handle all the payroll administrative duties for the assigned clients.
- Update the payroll system with all Employee related information, add new hires, terminations, etc.
- Enters all changes to demographics, tax filing & exemptions, direct deposit, deductions, and salaries.
- Sets up any new earnings/deduction codes that are needed.
- Implement any additional items the client might need in the future (ESS, Leave plans, 401K, Time)
- Enters or import the payroll information on processing day.
- Managed advanced payroll configuration and processing (Health and Welfare, GTL, Job Costing)
- Configure workflows, onboarding, and offboarding.
- Completes Payroll preview and internal audit.
- Reviews each employee change for accuracy.
- Compares last payroll to this payroll and review Earnings, Deductions, and Tax amounts.
- Sends all documentation and reports to Client for review as part of preview process including:
- Payroll Summary, Payroll Register, New Employee and Change Audit, Expectations, and Employee Zero Earnings Report
- Handles all off-cycle payroll runs (bonuses, missed payments)
- Calculates manual checks, if needed
- Sends Net check amounts to client for them to write check to employee.
- Completes Automatic payrolls.
- Creates custom reports.
- Handles any client, and if agreed upon employee, requests in a timely manner operating with a sense of urgency.
- Provide Year End Payroll processing guidance.
- Other responsibilities as needed.

- At least 10 years of experience handling payroll administrative duties or working in a client service/customer service/technical environment. Payroll/HCM software industry is highly desirable (iSolved experience a plus)
- Superior service skills with client focus approach that drives customer loyalty.
- Excellent analytical skills and time management skills and ability to work as part of a team to accomplish tasks
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and client facing experience.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office
- Positive attitude and demonstrated flexibility in prioritizing and executing projects.
- Projects a positive image in representing our company to clients and in the community.
- Must be flexible to work overtime when necessary.
- Highly motivated individual that is a self-starter in a fast-paced environment that is continually changing.
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Business, Computer Science or equivalent work experience preferred. Payroll and/or HR certifications (FPC/CPP/PHR, etc. highly desirable)
