Metro North Secretary/Bookkeeper

Position Requirements:

1. High school diploma.
2. Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
3. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Evaluation: Annually by the Building Principal

Job Goal: To assure the smooth and efficient operation of the school office so that the office’s maximum positive impact on the education of children can be realized.

Performance Responsibilities:

1. Performs usual office routines.
2. Maintains such student records as shall be required.
3. Receives and routes all incoming calls.
4. Maintains a daily teacher attendance log and the records for substitute teachers.
5. Acts as a resource to parents providing them with requested information.
6. Attends to health room needs in absence of nurse.
7. Maintains accurate demographic information on all students in the student database.
8. Maintains a log of visitors to the school.
9. Maintains a complete and systematic set of records of all financial transactions of the school.
10. Assumes responsibility for the receipt and expenditure of school funds.
11. Prepares and analyzes all financial statements.
12. Reconciles all bank accounts maintained by the school.
13. Maintains continuous internal auditing program for all funds.
14. Prepares reports to the proper staff concerning the status of their budgetary accounts.
15. Operates word processors, computers, calculators, copiers, and facsimile machines.
16. Other responsibilities as assigned by the building principal.

Terms:

• Various contract days
• Salary commensurate with experience

Position beginning approximately August 1, 2023 and concluding approximately June 1, 2024.
