Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and possess excellent organizational skills. Responsibilities: - Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage - Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions - Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions - Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements - Assist with payroll processing and ensure accurate calculation of employee wages and benefits - Monitor and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or trends - Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities - Ensure compliance with governmental accounting regulations - Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial information and support decision-making processes Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role - Solid understanding of financial concepts and principles - Knowledge of corporate accounting practices - Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage - Familiarity with payroll processing procedures - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Skills: - Experience in accounts payable management - Knowledge of accounts receivable processes - Familiarity with government accounting regulations If you are a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting, we encourage you to apply for the position of Bookkeeper.
