SalaryBusy cardiology practice looking for an experienced front desk receptionist. 1 year MEDICAL office experience helpful but willing to train right candidate ~ Cardiology exp helpful but not necessary. Duties include greeting patients answering phones, scheduling patients, preparing lab slips , filing, confirming schedules, monitor faxes and process appropriately. Serves as a liaison between patients and medical support staff. Work may require sitting for periods of time, also stooping and bending for patient files. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, telephone and copier. It may be necessary to view and type on a computer screen for long periods of time and to work in an environment which can be very stressful. Occasional lifting charts and paper weighing up to 20 pounds. Must be personable and have a professional appearance. Good verbal and writing skills a must. Looking for a team player with basic insurance/medical terminology knowledge.
