Medical Office Receptionist needed for established family practice office. We are looking for someone who will be able to provide friendly, compassionate service to patients over the phone and in person.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Greeting patients as they enter the building
- Answering multi-line phone system
- Taking messages and routing calls to correct department
- Scheduling appointments
- Verifying insurance prior to appointment
- Checking in patients, verifying patient demographic information, providing necessary forms to patients, and alerting nursing staff of patient’s arrival
- Checking out patients
- Collecting copays, deductibles, coinsurances, and past due balances
- Balancing daily cash, check, and credit card receipts
- Adding new patients to practice management software, creating new patient charts
- Maintaining stock of necessary forms, copying, faxing, scanning, and other office duties as assigned
- Cross-training with medical records/file department
- Cleaning and sanitizing work station and waiting room
Job Qualifications include:
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Efficient, organized, and able to multi-task
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Professional appearance (scrubs/business casual dress)
- Positive, friendly attitude
- Medical office experience preferred
