Medical Front Office Receptionist

Front Desk Receptionist needed for a busy Urology office. Candidates must have verifiable experience in a medical office. Insurance knowledge is a plus. Candidate will assist in preparing patient charts, collecting co-pays, light office cleaning, answering phone calls, managing incoming faxes, checking patients in and out for appointments...... There may be times that other duties are asked of this person if someone is out. We are a TEAM and everyone should eventually be cross trained to assure clinic flow is at its best. Applicant must be self motivated and thrive on getting the tasks completed. Must have transportation!

This position is Monday-Wednesday in the Lady Lake location. Thursday and Friday the village's office is closed however we do have 2 other offices you may cover. This will be discussed in detail during the interview so we can figure out the best fit for both the applicant and office needs.

Duties:
- Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and transfer calls when needed
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Check-in patients, verify insurance information, and collect necessary paperwork
- Maintain patient records and update medical information as needed
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Ensure the reception area is clean and organized

Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical office is required
- Familiarity with medical records and administrative tasks
- Proficiency in using phone systems and scheduling software (NextGen/iClaims)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
