Front Office Receptionist and Back Office Medical Assistant
Job Summary
Front Office Receptionist/ Back Office Medical Assistant will be responsible for being an active member of the health care team in assisting Healthcare Providers with patient care. Front Office Receptionist/ Back Office Medical Assistant will carry-out their duties by adhering to the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct, acts in the best interest of our office.
Responsibilities
- Operating electronic medical record system
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean
- Attain patient vital signs, ex. Blood pressure, Heart Rate, Weight, Height
- Explain treatment procedures, medications, and physicians’ instructions to patients
- Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies
- Inventory and order medical, lab, and office supplies and equipment
- Performs medical assistant and clerical duties as assigned
- Appointment scheduling
- Phone call answering
- Authorizations
Requirements:
- Knowledge of healthcare systems
- Knowledge of medical billing
- Ability to interact, relate to, work with and support the activities of a diverse workforce
- Certificate and/or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant (MA) Program
- CPR Certified
- Excellent Communication skills, written and verbal
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- 2-3 years of Front Office Receptionist/ Back Office Medical Assistant Experience
- High school or equivalent
