Front Office Receptionist and Back Office Medical Assistant

Job Summary

Front Office Receptionist/ Back Office Medical Assistant will be responsible for being an active member of the health care team in assisting Healthcare Providers with patient care. Front Office Receptionist/ Back Office Medical Assistant will carry-out their duties by adhering to the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct, acts in the best interest of our office.

Responsibilities

• Operating electronic medical record system
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean
• Attain patient vital signs, ex. Blood pressure, Heart Rate, Weight, Height
• Explain treatment procedures, medications, and physicians’ instructions to patients
• Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies
• Inventory and order medical, lab, and office supplies and equipment
• Performs medical assistant and clerical duties as assigned
• Appointment scheduling
• Phone call answering
• Authorizations

Requirements:

• Knowledge of healthcare systems
• Knowledge of medical billing
• Ability to interact, relate to, work with and support the activities of a diverse workforce
• Certificate and/or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant (MA) Program
• CPR Certified
• Excellent Communication skills, written and verbal
• High School Diploma or GED
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• 2-3 years of Front Office Receptionist/ Back Office Medical Assistant Experience
• High school or equivalent
