Global automotive plastics injection molding manufacturer is searching for a Maintenance Manager for their Troy, MI location, to help preserve the use life of equipment and avoid premature failures. Early detection of impending problems and help prevent critical level of deterioration.
Would like someone with a plastic manufacturing experience and people management skills.
- Oversee and manage the maintenance operations of the facility
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and ensure they are followed
- Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and address any maintenance issues
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or projects
- Supervise a team of maintenance technicians and provide guidance and support as needed
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment inventory
- Responsible for following and enforcing all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
- Assist the process / Manufacturing Engineer in implementing process improvement changes.
- Complete weekly and monthly reports
- Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective practices
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in maintenance management
Skills required:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively supervise a team
- Proficient in low voltage electrical systems and logic controllers
- Knowledge of schematics and ability to read technical drawings
- Experience in HVAC systems and electrical troubleshooting
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance issues
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Knowledge of facilities management principles and practices
Qualifications:
5-8 years' maintenance in manufacturing management role environment
Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, programmable controller problems.
Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and schematics
Experience in operating various machining equipment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
