Apartment Maintenance Technician / Carpentry Experience

An Apartment Maintenance Technician/Handyman is the core of the resident experience. Not only are they troubleshooting and solving various maintenance issues, but also going into the homes of our residents. This is a huge responsibility, and we value the level of customer care it takes to do this well.
In this position you will be responsible for assisting in the upkeep and maintenance of our apartment community. The ideal Technician is very motivated to find solutions to complex issues and has an eye for detail.
Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of apartments for occupancy,
• Respond to service requests
• Perform maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, as well as appliances
• Ability to perform modest carpentry work as needed, interior and exterior painting as
• Ceramic tile repair and installation, vinyl floor installation
• Maintain apartment grounds, clean snow by shovel and or blower
• Be on call on a rotating basis

Qualifications:

• Experience in Apartment Maintenance or related field preferred
• Have the knowledge & ability to safely use hand & power tools
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Have a valid driver license
• Own reliable transportation
• Pass criminal background check
