Our client, a small law firm in Center City, Philadelphia, is seeking a Pre-Litigation Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join the team!
The ideal candidate has personal injury and/or medical malpractice experience.
A successful candidate will be able to provide assistance during phases of the pre-litigation process including legal intake, prep of documents, and obtaining records, along with calendaring, filing correspondence, and working as a team member in our office.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Handling client referrals and providing timely responses
- Maintaining organized and indexed files
- Corresponding with clients, and scheduling intakes
- Gathering medical records
- Legal assistant duties (calendaring, correspondence, filing)
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High energy, intelligence, and integrity
- Proven working experience as a legal assistant/litigation paralegal (3+ years)
- Applicable PA, Philadelphia knowledge of motions, discovery, documentation, court rules procedures, practices NJ knowledge a plus
- Highly organized with ability to juggle deadlines
- Extensive knowledge of service procedures
- Strong communication skills, and attention to detail
- Extensive computer expertise
- Case management system knowledge
