Benco Dental is seeking a detail orientated, highly motivated, and talented Legal Assistant Internfor the Summer 2024 semesterwho is interested in learning and experiencing a Corporate Legal environment from a very active Legal Department.

• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
• Ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative and organizational skills
• Accurate record keeping and reporting skills
• Be highly accountable, resourceful and detail-oriented
• Strong time-management, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to work under pressure at times and handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion

The Legal Intern will perform a combination of administrative and project-based functions. This position will gain valuable experience in many aspects of the Legal functions including;

• Perform administrative and clerical functions within the Legal Team
• Assist with special projects at the direction of the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Paralegal
• Prepare and execute UCC filings with guidance
• Type, format, send, and file office correspondence
• Schedule appointments, meetings, travel, and maintains team calendars
• Register Agents Administration & Annual Reporting Reconciliation
• Maintenance of Contract Management Systems
• Record keeping and reporting
• Legal Request intake forms
• Process legal billing and attorney rates reconciliations
• Research and facilitate discovery requests
• Research statues, laws, rules & regulations

Do YOU Meet These Requirements?

• Live local to the home office in Pittston, PA for onsite work
• Currently enrolled, as of Summer 2024, in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in a relevant study (Political Science, Criminal Justice, National Law and Security, etc).
• Ability to work up to 24 hours per week
