Legal Administrative Assistant

A Small Law Office in Downtown Houston seeks Part Time Administrative Assistant. The practice focuses on clients who have been convicted of criminal offenses.

DUTIES:

· Answer the telephone

· Handle Communication (both verbal and written)

· Read and process daily mail

· Maintain client files

· Maintain a professional demeanor at all times

· Maintain the appearance of the office

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· Spanish speaker required.

· High school diploma or GED required; some higher education preferred.

· At least 5 years’ experience in an administrative role.

· Must be able to type professional correspondence.

· Must be familiar with Word, Excel spreadsheets and Dropbox.

· Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment.

· Must be able to work independently and follow through with tasks.

· Strong organizational skills essential.

· Must have good and compassionate customer service skills with clients who have loved ones incarcerated.
