I.T. Network and Systems Administrator I
Position Summary
As a Team Member of the I.T. team, the Network and Systems Administrator I is a CRCR Ambassador and takes personal ownership to ensure all of their actions are in the best interest of the business and business assets. The Network and Systems Administrator I is responsible for supporting the operation, security, and maintenance of the network and systems to ensure the uninterrupted and secure functioning of CRCR. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to learn, grow, and contribute to the success of the CRCR’s I.T. operations.
Essential Functions
Network Administration:
- Assist in managing CRCR’s network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, access points).
- Monitor network and system performance and resolve issues.
- Participate in network and systems security implementation.
- Collaborate in network architecture design.
- Support the maintenance and administration of servers (physical and virtual).
- Configure, monitor and troubleshoot server hardware and software.
- Assist with managing system backups, recovery, and disaster planning.
- Assist with managing system software updates and security patches.
- Provide technical support for network and system issues.
- Create and maintain user accounts and permissions.
- Receive escalated I.T. Help Desk issues.
- Assist in enforcing security policies and access controls.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging threats.
- Maintain documentation of network and system configurations.
- Generate reports on system and network performance and security.
- Work with vendors to resolve technical issues and procure equipment/services.
- Participate in I.T. projects (upgrades, migrations, deployments) as directed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate).
- Certifications in (CompTIA Network+/Security+/CCNA/MCSA).
- Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Linux, and some Mac OS.
- Proficient with remote desktop tools.
- Experience with using imaging to configure PCs.
- Knowledge of virtualization atmospheres, VMWare or Hyper-V equivalent.
- Knowledge of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Knowledge of security best practices and experience with security tools and technologies.
- Ability to quote Wikipedia facts about the Padovana chicken.
- A.S. in either Computer Science or Information Systems.
- 2+ years of related I.T. experience.
- Additional industry certifications.
