Primary Purpose: Responsible for a wide range of activities and a broad spectrum of technology. Including but not limited to servers/workstations, Windows/Linux/Mac operating systems, LAN/WAN and telephony hardware. These activities will include the troubleshooting and resolution of highly complex network, server and application issues, working with internal organizations and coworkers on product wide issues as well as product readiness projects. Will directly interact with PISD staff on high visibility and complex technical issues.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's, Associates, or Technical degree preferred
- Minimum of at least four years related experience and /or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Have a valid Texas Driver's License and maintain insurance requirements of PISD
- Must pass drug test and physical and be part of a random drug testing program. Must pass criminal history check.
Experience:
• Documented experience in network server administration in a Windows environment (install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot)
• Knowledge, understanding, and practical application of technologies, protocols, and related standards including TCP/IP, Ethernet, LAN, WAN, and IP routers
• Documented experience and understanding of MS Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, WINS and Network Printing • Excellent organizational, documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with current Windows Desktop operating systems
• Experience with Office 365 and Microsoft Azure solutions.
• Experience with Google Workspace administration and Chromebook Deployment a plus
• Experience with data center solutions, design, and maintenance
• Experience with Anti-virus, Anti Spyware, EDR, anti-phishing solutions.
• Experience in the design, deployment and administration of backup an disaster recovery solutions
• Documented or work related experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Documented or work related experience with VMware or Virtualization Products.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing needs

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Maintain and document the districts standards for network configuration
2. Setup, maintain, service, and administer various district application servers
3. Installation, configuration, modification and maintenance of network electronics
4. Ongoing support for the districts internal user community, including monitoring system performance and availability, CPU, memory, I/O and network components
5. Provide day-to-day support for the district servers, workstations, network, printers, and software packages
6. Utilize network monitoring software to maintain network services
7. Troubleshoot and resolve network, server, workstation, and software problems
8. Install servers, workstations, printers, routers and other hardware as required
9. Other duties as assigned
WORKING CONDITIONS:

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs., be able to work on 14'+ ladder and man lift up to 30 ft.

Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer; steady phone interactions; moderate standing, walking, and bending
Operate Motor vehicle
Possible afterhours or weekend work when required
