ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist will provide HR business partner support to the Corporate Hearthside Foods Solutions team under the direction of the Senior HR Manager. This position will be a trusted partner to the business driving results through retention and development of our employees. This is a hybrid role, you will be expected to work out of our Downers Grove office 3 days/week.
Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and support to Corporate employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs
- Partner with hiring managers and the Talent Acquisition team to align on recruiting needs, update job descriptions, provide hiring process guidance, and develop job offers
- Manage offboarding process and conduct exit interviews to identify trends and needs which will help to continuously improve the company's practices
- Coordinate onboarding and lead orientation processes for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization
- Conduct investigations and provide resolution for employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent treatment of all employees
- Collaborate with managers to address performance management and disciplinary actions, providing guidance and coaching as needed
- Provide coaching to support leadership development and decision making to drive performance productivity
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation
- Build employee networks that promote feedback to be used in corrective scenarios where adverse business conditions exist
- Support the HR team in various projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement, training and development, and HR analytics
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in HR, continually seeking opportunities to improve HR processes and practices
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related field.
- Experience: 3+ years relevant work experience
- Computer Skills: Standard computer skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Ceridian Dayforce or other HRIS systems is highly preferred
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills required. Must be able to adapt communication style for all levels within the organization.
- Special Skills: Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
