Hr Generalist- Springfield, Il - Full-Time

Salary Range: $40,000- $49,000

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am- 4pm, with a 30 minute lunch (may require some work outside of work schedule)

Job Summary: We are seeking two highly motivated and experienced HR Generalists to join our dynamic Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of HR functions including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, and leave of absence management. This role requires a proactive, solution-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions:

• Implements comprehensive onboarding programs that ensure a smooth integration of new hires.
• Provides support to the Recruitment Coordinator with recruitment processes to attract top talent.
• Manage tuition reimbursement programs for employees and their dependents; assist with COBRA management and unemployment claims.
• Manage and works with the Director of Human Resources on employee leaves of absence, including ADA, FMLA, Paid Parental Leave, Military, Short-Term Disability and VESSA.
• Support planning and implementation of employee recognition events.
• For all processes, ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Other duties as assigned for special projects to support the HR team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Two (2) years of experience in customer service.
• Proficiency in the use of Outlook, Word, Excel and HRIS systems.
• Proven HR experience, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, particularly in relation to leave of absence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a Human Resources or Business Administration field.
• Experience with an HRIS and Benefits Administration System.
• 2+ years of experience in project management, onboarding, FMLA administration, and customer service.
