Description & Details: This Accounting Manager-Forestry position is responsible for the execution of transactional financial activities in support of the ND Forest Service (NDFS). The role is customer-facing and responsible for providing quality financial services in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with all applicable institutional, NDSU, State, and Federal regulations, policies, and guidelines. This role is also responsible for providing guidance and direction for complex financial and technical issues for other administrative personnel within the NDFS. This position for the NDFS is responsible for providing services to staff related to purchasing, travel and expense, and general accounting processing. In addition, this position provides administrative support to the Office of the State Forester.
Work Schedule: 40 hours/week; 8-5 or similar, Monday-Friday.
Work Location: Bottineau, Towner, Lisbon, Walhalla, Fargo-off campus, or remote home office outside of these offices.
Advertised Salary: $42,757 + DOE
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree in related field or;
- 2+ years direct experience that provides the incumbent with the knowledge, skill, and ability to successfully perform the job.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Major field of study or degree emphasis: Business, Accounting, or related field. Actual work experience in a business field can be used in lieu of this degree requirement.
- 3+ years of directly related experience in purchasing, travel and expense, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Experience working in higher education setting.
- PeopleSoft/Oracle experience.
