Hr Generalist

What you will do

Responsible for the local delivery and execution of core HR services to employees and managers in accordance with Clarios Manufacturing System (CMS) principles, corporate policies and procedures, and plant operations. Performs a variety of employment related functions for the ultimate purpose of enhancing employee engagement, safety and health, productivity and ensuring employee compliance with company policies of a battery manufacturing facility.

How you will do it

• Actively engage the workforce with a positive and professional attitude
• Assist with plant compliance with Federal and State employment and Labor Laws
• Conduct hourly recruitment for open positions following established process, in accordance with Affirmative Action requirements.
• Conduct new hire onboarding and orientation using standardized onboarding material.
• Support the administration of employee handbook.
• Conduct investigations for employee relations issues.
• Prepare documentation for grievances, discipline, performance reviews.
• Provide training and support for e-tools, including HR Atlas, Workday, Sharepoint, Performance Management, and Survey Action Planning.
• Conduct and maintain training as directed or needed
• Conduct periodic shift checks on off-shifts
• Work with Safety and Occupational to ensure employees are following regulations and procedures
• May direct the work of others including support staff
• May influence and make recommendations to management.
• Perform related duties as assigned

What we look for

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required
• Minimum 1 year of HR experience required
• Manufacturing environment experienc preferred
• Union experience desirable
• Strong organizational and commination skills
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Able to travel up to 5% if needed
