POSITION TITLE: HR Generalist
SUPERVISOR: VP of Human Resources
POSITION SUMMARY:
Our client, a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization for equal rights, seeks a Human Resources Generalist to support the Human Resources Department in all matters related to human resources management. This position will require experience in day-to-day HR operations including talent acquisition, benefits and leave administration. The Generalist will execute HR programs and policies, addressing staff inquires in accordance with state and federal guidelines while maintaining confidentiality around personnel matters.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Under the direction of the Vice President of, Human Resources the HR Generalist will complete various day-today HR functions and is responsible for the following:
- Directly responsible for full cycle talent acquisition and management
- Screening interviews, provides hiring managers with qualified candidates, schedule interviews and using creative sourcing methods (internal and external)
- Manages internal transfer process, including screening, coordination of interviews with hiring manager, transfer offer letters, etc.
- Partners with hiring manager to determine staffing needs
- Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals
- Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, and noncompeting agreements).
- Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Manages application/resume file and retention according to company policy
- Maintains annual performance management process
- Administer health and wellness programs to include invoicing
- Assists in maintain records and procedures for controlling personnel transactions and reporting and protecting personnel data as appropriate
- Coordinates updates and communications to all employee benefit programs, staff roster, staffing reports, and other
- Generate various reports to include HR staffing, termination, hiring, turnover, time and attendance
- In collaborations with Sr. Human Resources Manager, maintain all job descriptions
- Coordinate leave administration (leave of absents, FMLA, disability, workers compensation)
- Other HR related duties, projects and task as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year accredited college or university desired 2-4 years of experience as a HR professional is required.
- Ability to implement systems
- Strong understanding of state/ federal laws and guideline
- Prior experience in Human Resources for a nonprofit is a plus
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of ADP Workforce is required
