- Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals.
- Assist in the supervision of the daily operations of the Sales & Marketing Department. Mentor and manage the Director of Catering & Conference Services, Conference Service Manager, Sales Managers, and Catering Sales Managers.
- Participation in daily sales meeting, pre-convention meetings, management meetings and training(s).
- Oversee the preparation of event documents (resumes, BEO’s) and correspondence for booked group events.
- Monitor group room blocks and pick up, generate detailed resumes for the operating departments.
- Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and clients.
- Represent the hotel at trade shows, community events and industry meetings.
- Assist with reports and/or competition data collection.
- Work closely with all departments on operations/meeting execution.
- Ensure proper posting of meeting/event schedules.
- All other duties assigned by management. Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate, convince, sell, and influence prospects and hotel guests
- Ability to proactively prioritize needs and effectively manage time and resources.
- Knowledge of Marriott and CRM systems a plus Compensation Range: The compensation for this position is $100,000.00/Yr. - $100,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
