HR Generalist Position at Defender One Security
Position Title:HR Generalist
Location: Owings Mills, MD
Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000 (Based on credentials and experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (with a one-hour paid lunch break)
Reports To: Director of Human Resources; Director of Operations & Training
Overview:
Defender One Security is seeking a skilled and proactive HR Generalist to join our team. This role is pivotal in implementing and enforcing HR policies, managing onboarding processes, conducting interviews, scheduling, and ensuring effective management practices throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will be adept with technology, possess strong organizational skills, and have a keen eye for detail. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and efficiency of Defender One Security by ensuring that our HR functions operate smoothly and align with our organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures in line with company objectives and legal requirements.
- Manage the entire recruitment process, from posting job ads to scheduling interviews and facilitating onboarding for new hires.
- Conduct interviews and assist in the selection process to ensure the hiring of qualified candidates who align with Defender One's culture and values.
- Coordinate training and development initiatives in collaboration with the Director of Operations & Training to enhance staff competencies.
- Administer HR-related documentation, such as contracts, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
- Act as a liaison between employees and management, addressing queries and concerns, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, staying updated on any changes that could impact the company.
- Assist in the scheduling and management of employee work hours, leaves, and absences.
- Leverage technology to streamline HR processes, maintain accurate records, and generate reports to support decision-making.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives that contribute to the long-term success of Defender One Security.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
- Strong understanding of HR policies, labor laws, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High proficiency in HR software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant technologies.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
