JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a visionary and strategic Director of Technology to lead our technology team. As the Director of Technology, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the technology strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful implementation of technology initiatives. You will lead a team of talented professionals, fostering collaboration, and driving a culture of excellence. Essential Duties/Responsibilities
% TIME
  • Technology Strategy and Vision: Develop and execute a technology strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Stay informed about emerging technology trends and drive innovation to keep the organization at the forefront of technological advancements. 5%
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of technology professionals, including engineers, architects, and project managers. Foster a high-performing team culture, promote continuous learning, and ensure the development of technical expertise and leadership capabilities. 5%
  • Technology Planning and Execution: Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify technology needs and prioritize initiatives. Develop technology roadmaps and project plans, ensuring successful execution and delivery within defined timelines and budgets. 5%
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Partner with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Operations, and Executive Leadership, to align technology initiatives with business objectives. Build strong relationships with stakeholders, communicate effectively, and manage expectations. 5%
  • Technology Governance and Compliance: Establish and enforce technology governance frameworks, policies, and procedures. Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and data protection standards. 5%
  • Technology Architecture and Design: Drive the design and architecture of technology solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, platforms, and tools to meet business requirements. 5%
  • Vendor Management and Partnership: Identify and manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and external partners. Collaborate on strategic initiatives, negotiate contracts, and ensure effective service delivery and value. 5%
  • Technology Operations and Support: Oversee the operation and support of technology systems and infrastructure. Collaborate with Operations teams to ensure high availability, performance, and efficient incident resolution. 5%
  • Technology Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of innovation, encouraging the exploration and adoption of new technologies and methodologies. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and user experience. 5%
  • Technology Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and investments. Monitor and report on financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource utilization. 5%

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, advanced degree preferred
Work Experience
Experience:
Typically 10+ years: Proven experience in a leadership role within the technology industry.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Deep understanding of technology trends, emerging technologies, and their impact on business.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to align technology initiatives with business goals.
  • Track record of driving successful technology transformations and driving innovation.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management abilities, with exceptional communication skills.
  • Extensive experience in technology planning, budgeting, and resource management.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Knowledge of technology governance, compliance, and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing, software development lifecycles, and IT infrastructure.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute.
  • Exceptional business acumen and ability to drive technology initiatives that deliver value.

The salary range for this role is $137,100 to $362,000. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience.

A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
