Hr Generalist

As an HR Generalist with Workday HCM experience, you will play a pivotal role in supporting various HR functions and ensuring the effective utilization of the Workday HCM system. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day employee HR inquiries, supporting our HR email inbox, and leveraging Workday to streamline processes, reporting, and data management. The HR Generalist will report to our Director of People Services and collaborate regularly with our Onboarding Specialist, Chief People Officer and various stakeholders to optimize workflows and provide a strong level of service to our employee base.

This is a hybrid role based in our Oakbrook office with 2 - 3 days per week in the office.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for Workday HCM-related inquiries, support, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with IT and other relevant departments to ensure the seamless integration of Workday with other systems.
• Oversee the employee onboarding and offboarding processes through Workday.
• Manage employee data changes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Generate regular and ad-hoc reports using Workday to provide insights into HR metrics and trends.
• Utilize Workday reporting tools to support data-driven decision-making.
• Stay informed about HR laws and regulations, ensuring that Workday configurations and practices align with compliance requirements.
• Support audits and provide necessary documentation related to Workday HCM.
• Assist in resolving employee relations issues by providing guidance and support.
• Utilize Workday to track and manage employee relations cases and trends.
• Provide training to HR and other relevant teams on Workday HCM functionalities and updates.
• Offer ongoing support and guidance to end-users on Workday-related queries.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as an HR Generalist with a focus in Workday HCM administration.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• In-depth knowledge of HR processes and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.

The salary range for this role is $53,000 - $63,000 per year depending on experience.
