Human Resources Assistant
The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for new hire entry, entering pay adjustments, and general office tasks as needed. This position must have strong written and verbal communication skills. The Human Resources Assistant must work well in a fast-paced working environment with a high attention to detail.
This position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources.
Responsibilities:
- Enter new hires into payroll system.
- Update and maintain list of office starting rates for field employees.
- Create and send offer letters and supporting documentation.
- Update PTO as needed for employee transfers.
- Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
- Produce and monitor reports for field pay increases.
- Process rate changes and employee transfers.
- Provides secretarial support by entering, formatting, and printing information.
- Submits employee data reports by assembling, preparing, and analyzing data.
- Assists with random drug screenings across all operating companies.
- Maintain employee files and confidentiality.
- Maintains quality service by following organization policies and procedures.
- Assists with unemployment claims.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in human resource management preferred.
- 2+ years working in human resources or similar role.
- Experience in HR preferably with a company similar in size.
- Exposure to HR and payroll practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Works well in fast-paced environment.
- Highly computer literate.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately follow instructions.
- Familiarity with payroll software.
- Excellent data entry skills.
- Will be required to execute a confidentiality and restrictive covenant agreement.
